Summer Activities for Kids During COVID
Running out of ideas already? Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of summer activities for kids during COVID-19 for you…
The school holidays have begun here in the UK – although things may not seem much different to the last several months since lockdown began! It’s been an incredibly difficult year for parents of school-aged children who have had to transform into multi-tasking home-schooling machines. So instead of the usual – ‘Woohoo! School’s out for summer!’ you may well be completely out of ideas to keep the kids occupied for the next six weeks. To help you out, I’ve created a list of 100 summer activities for kids during COVID.
Which would you prefer…
- A. Bored kids moaning that they have nothing to do?
- B. Busy kids with endless ideas of what they could do next?
I bet I know which one you chose!
Fear not! In this post I’m going to share 40 easy, fun ideas. Better still, many are free or low cost. Win win!
If you want even more inspiration then make sure that you download my printable Summer Holiday Kids Activity Bucket List, which is packed with 100 ideas! Stick it to the fridge and challenge them to see how many they can tick off before school goes back (hopefully!?!).
Some of the ideas are suitable for all ages, others are more appropriate for older children. Lots of activities have links leading to other sites for more inspiration.
Disclaimer: This post is an updated version of an article that I published in 2019. I have included a few activity ideas that may not be possible due to regional restrictions with the corona virus and given that we don’t know how the pandemic will pan out, you will need to use your best judgement along with current government rules.
Without further ado, I bring you…
