Accessibility Commitment Statement

Making Positive Primary Kids accessible to all users is of huge importance to me. Inclusivity and accessibility are two of my core values.

Update: 14th January 2022

I am actively working to make this website and all of my resources and marketing as accessible and usable as possible.

I try to make website text easy to read and understand.

Content created before this update date (14th January 2022) may not be optimised for everyone to use yet. Please bear with me – this is a work in progress. If there is any content that you are unable to access, please contact me and I will try to supply it in a different format.

Design and Content Considerations

To date, the following features/design element considerations have been implemented:

  • off-white background to reduce visual stress
  • off-black text to reduce visual stress
  • heading and body fonts and font sizes selected for readability
  • heading structure optimised for screen readers
  • body text formatted for easy skimming
  • image alt text descriptions optimised for screen readers
  • page colour contrast analysed for accessibility
  • simple, logical menus for easy navigation
  • clickable ‘buttons’ have descriptive text

Improving Accessibility

Going forward, as new content is created, I endeavour to:

  • include captions with video
  • include image description on social media posts
